This will be a one day tournament because of Easter..
Tournament is FULL @ 12-Teams
Tournament Rules: CITY OF MESQUITE PARK RULES:
NO PETS, NO GLASS CONTAINERS, NO SKATEBOARDS, ROLLERBLADES etc. NO SMOKING, NO ALCOHALIC BEVERAGE IN THE PARK.
MFSA PARK RULES:
Teams are responsible for making sure the dugouts and bleachers are cleaned upon leaving the field.
INFORMATION REQUIRED AT CHECK-IN:
Birth Certificates, or VTD Cards, Team Roster, Proof of Insurance and Travel Permit.
TOURNAMENT RULES - CURRENT A.S.A, USSSA, or USFA RULES/CODES APPLY (with the exception of the following) 10U rules same as 12U except pitching is 35 ft. and 11 in. ball.
ALL TEAMS PLAYING IN TOURNAMENT WILL BE REPORTED FOR CLASSICATION POINTS TO ASA, USSSA AND USFA.
Tournament Rules: 8u only
Coach Pitch: 8 Pitches 5 strikes (if fouled off on the last strike, then batter continues to bat). No stealing All players play defensively up to the same minimum number on both teams, with the maximum of 12, minimum for either team at 9 players (if there are only 8 – then the 9th batter is an automatic out). Defensive Coach: Can take a position on the field behind 2nd base. Pool games are: 55 minutes – drop dead. Bracket Games are: 60 minutes finish the inning, unless home team is ahead. All games are bat the entire roster, not the game lineup. Bunting will be allowed and bases will be 60 ft. Time will be called when a defensive player stops the lead runner.
AWARDS: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Team Trophies, 1st and 2nd Individual Trophies, 3rd Place will receive Individual medals or Trophies.
Tournament Rules: All others Divisions
FOUR (4) GAME GUARANTEE: Six (6) RUNS PER ½ INNING IN B-DIVISION: NO RUN LIMIT IN A-DIVISON.
POOL GAMES: 6 Runs per ½ inning in all pool games, all division. Bat your entire roster & free sub in all divisions.
GAME TIMES: Pool 55 min. Drop-Dead Bracket 1:15 finish the inning
RUN RULE FOR ALL DIVISION: B-Division 12 after 3, 10 after 4, & 8 after 5 A-Division 15 after 3 & 8 after 5
There is “ NO IF NEEDED GAME “, the last team in the winner’s bracket will be HOME TEAM for the Championship Game.
TEAMS NEED TO BE READY TO START GAMES UP TO 30 MINUTES EARLY! If there is a game ahead of you that’s ends early, then we need to play earlier than scheduled…
ITB RULE is in effect for the FIRST tiebreaker inning, ANY INNINGS AFTER that will be a MODIFIED TIEBREAKER: Last completed “at bat” will start at 3rd base and the batter will START with a 3 – 2 ( full ) count.
Game time: is forfeit time, unless special considerations are to be made:
a. Teams playing “back to back” will get a 10-min. break.
b. Game delays, weather, etc.
c. Game clock will start when the defensive take the field.
COACHES WILL FLIP FOR HOME TEAM AT THE PREGAME MEETING WITH THE HOMEPLATE UMPIRE
At this game line-ups are to be exchanged and one copy will go to the OFFICIAL SCOREKEEPER AND ONE copy to the home plate umpire.
PROTEST: are $50.00 CASH, up front (NO CHECKS). The Tournament Director, Assistant Tournament Director and the Umpire in Chief will decide any disputes or protest on the spot.
RAINOUTS: If a rainout occurs after the start of the tournament, entry fees will be refunded on a prorated basis figured on a “games played vs. games guaranteed”. A completed game will be considered as 5 innings played or ¾ of game time elapsed, (4 ½ innings if the Home team is ahead).
